NameYourDomain is a newly created website to facilitate the buying and selling of domain names. We offer a range of ways to auction your
domain name, from conducting normal auctions to allowing a user to buy out a domain at a price stated by the
seller. As
well as this, there are several effective ways to promote your domain.
You may choose to advertise your domain name on the featured listing
section located on the home page, as well as being able to advertise in
the category page that best suits your domain, all at an affordable
price.
Due to recent changes
to the transfer of .au domain names, Australians are now able to sell
their domain names as long as they abide to the regulations stipulated
by the Australian Domain Name Administrator (auDA). This was made effective on
1 June 2008. To find out more information about these regulations, click here to view the auDA Registrant Transfer Policy Brochure. Here are a few key points taken directly from the brochure:

You cannot register a domain name for the sole purpose of re-sale or transfer to a third party.

You cannot
transfer your domain name for the first six months after it is
registered (this does not apply to domain names that have been renewed
or previously transferred).

You can apply to auDA for authorisation to transfer within the first six months in special circumstances.

After six months, you can offer your domain name for sale by any means.

The buyer must comply with normal eligibility and allocation rules for .au domain names.

Transfers will
be processed by the registrar of record using a standard transfer form,
and the registrar may charge a transfer fee.
